We want the council to stop this proposed merger and into consideration the education and safety of the children. We do not feel the aberdeen city council has considered all aspects of this merger. Bramble brae school is an important part of the community in Cummings park and if closed leaves Cummings park without a primary school. The proposed merger will have a detrimental effect on community spirit as many parents will have no option but to look for alternative schools due to child are and safety issues resulting in a divide in the community. Bramble brae school, is a happy school with a friendly environment this enhances the learning experience for the pupils and to take the children away from their beloved school can only have a detrimental effect on their education. We also feel there has not been proper consideration to safety of the children as this merger entails crossing a very busy main road.
