Walking home in the pitch black of our streets still keeps me up at night because I know how easily an accident could happen. I have been spending my evenings documenting the darkest corners of our neighborhood to show city officials exactly where we are at risk.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one who feels unsafe walking home at night. My heart is full knowing so many neighbors care enough to back this demand for basic street safety.

With the amount of money the city of Belmont can spend on electronic notice boards near the main bus stops on wright street in front of the forum, and the money they spend on artwork and making the area look 'pretty' how about making it safe and practical.
I would rather live in a safe area with no fancy flowers and technology to have my family and friends in safety, this could have saved our friends life. Please start prioritising your locals safety city of Belmont.

My child was killed in Belmont at the beginning of this month. Better lighting could have saved his life

Besides lighting there should also be a study regarding traffic speed or create a roundabout

William should be here celebrating his 17th Birthday with his family , if better lighting is what it takes to prevent one more family dealing with this kind of unimaginable grief then it needs to be done now ... Fix the lighting situation in this area and that stretch of road so Christina , Bella and Paul know that their son and brother did not die in vain xxx Lyndell and Family
