I just looked at the screen and saw 500 names and I think I might actually cry because I truly did not expect this to blow up like it has. It is wild to see how many people in Wath actually care about this place because I was worried I was the only one losing sleep over the branch closing down.

I honestly cannot believe the momentum we have built right now because it is just completely wild to see everyone coming together so quickly. It really hits home how much these branches mean to our neighbors and elderly residents who just need to be able to walk down the street to handle their own money without trekking miles away.

I just blinked and noticed we hit one hundred signatures which feels totally wild since I was just hoping a few neighbors might actually see this thing. It really makes me think about how many people care about keeping the center of Wath alive because it is just so much better than seeing empty storefronts everywhere.

Me and my husband are in our 70s we pay all our utility bills etc by direct debit, but need to put money in the bank to pay those direct debits. The closure of this bank leaves us as non drivers with awkward bus journeys to deal with our banking affairs.
As a small business owner who handles cash it's imperative that I have a local bank. I don't want to be walking around my money on me. If yorkshire Bank closes in Wath I'll have to chance my account to the HSBC
If the banks say people don't use it. Why when I go in to either Wath or Mexborough I'm always queuing? Some services like paying in you cannot do on line. If wath closes after banking with them for over 50 years I will be closing my accounts.
It is disgusting, I have worked in wath schools for 30 years and all school funds etc budgets have been at Yorkshire Bank and I personally have banked there for 60 years, there is a lot of businesses in wath, a lot of money passes through this branch
Not a very well thought out commercial decision in my eyes when Wath has one of biggest new housing developments for a miles with more being built. A growing community surely provides more scope for business? I hope all your local customers move banks out of principle....
Every single person that has got money in the Yorkshire bank Wath branch, need to draw their money out if they close it.That should be the promise to the Yorkshire Bank,that is what this petition should say. Just to show the greedy capitalist bastards. Now that what I call a campaign, No Branch No Cash Pal £££££££££££££££
The bank should be left here everything shuts down in wath and always something what everyone needs wbu the old people who needs the bank everyone got to go to rotherham or wombell I am a bank customer aswell

Think of the hassle it will cause the elders of Wath that have no access to Internet banking or very little knowledge of how to use it therefore having to pass bank details to friends / family members opening a whole new gap for fraud not everyone wants Internet banking
