Not everyone wants to use internet banking or has access to it. Local branches are the only option for many people, particularly the elderly, who will be forced to travel further afield if the branch closes.

YB & HSBC both going, wat a bad business decision by one or both. Not only are they ruining a town and it's businesses but if ine were to remain they would gain all the extra custom. What are small businesses and households meant to do now, its like going back to the middle ages, all towns by law should have one bank, esoecially a growing town and area like Wath!

Disgusted at Yorkshire Bank. I joined them as a smaller local bank who cares about the Yorkshire communities, rather than one of the big banks. Shame on you, I expect this from Nat West & Lloyds, think about who your customers are & why many bank with you in Yorkshire.

If the banks say people don't use it. Why when I go in to either Wath or Mexborough I'm always queuing? Some services like paying in you cannot do on line. If wath closes after banking with them for over 50 years I will be closing my accounts.

YB has closed the branch in Swinton. Now disgracefully they are close sing Wath. We will have to reconsider where we bank after 40 years as customers.

all the banks seem to want to make is pure profit and not think of the human cost to shutting down our local banks its time that they put something back into the local communities like saving our banks

Excellent branch with first class staff which Wath should not be allowed to lose.

Taxpayers have bailed out the banks to the tune of millions of pounds. Time now for them to show a little respect for their customers!

Surely someone with some common sense at Yorkshire bank or HSBC can see that it doesn't make intelligent and good relations to close banks. Quite a lot of older people do not have computers and if they had would not trust internet banking. Think again the powers that be.

Once again false words we are here to serve you your local bank at your service what are the older and disabled people going to do now I will always want personnel service not pressing buttons or talking to a robot we don't all have computers I don't trust em so once again normal people don't matter hang your heads in shame and keep your hands in your deep pockets .
