We, the students of Saratoga Springs Schools, oppose the Board of Education’s decision to disarm the Grounds Monitors in the district. We believe that this decision places us in the crosshairs of danger. It is our desire to have the Board revisit and revote on this topic, using the recommendations of our local law enforcement and that of the majority of parents and students in our district. The Board of Education clearly thought we would just roll over and accept their reckless plan to leave us vulnerable. They are dead wrong because this surge of support proves that we refuse to let them gamble with our safety for another second.

Are you guys crazy? The world is way to dangerous to leave our schools undefended. Keep the monitors armed.

Ignorant students at Saratoga Springs High School say that feel threatened or not safe that there is an armed police office in the school. How safe will they feel when there is a forced entry and someone is here to harm them and no one has a gun because they didn’t feel safe with it in an officials hands.
Please reverse your decision for the safety of our children.
Guns will protect us against guns.

My kids go here and I want them protected. Why would the board take away their tools to keep everyone safe? Wrong decision.
