The people that have signed this petition do not agree with the Mayor and City Council of Pittsburgh ordering the members of the Public Safety Department and Bureau of Police not to enforce the Laws of The United States of America that they have sworn under oath to uphold, concerning illegal immigration by declaring the City of Pittsburgh a “Sanctuary City” a.k.a “Welcoming City”. We are asking that the Mayor and City Council withdraw from this misguided effort and to concentrate on what should be their focus on the operations of running a Municipal Government in accordance with the City of Pittsburgh Home Rule Charter and the Municipal Codes.
