Samsung S7/S7 edge home button is peeling after 7 months of use. Honestly they can do better, which is what bothers me the most. It may be cosmetic, but it's happening to a bunch of their customers so there obviously is an issue. The fact they aren't fixing this for customers like myself and the other affected by it really sucks, this petition is to bring this wide-spread problem to Samsung attention directly. After a few months the number of people with peeled button will grow enormously. This is a problem with the material used for production and should be covered by warranty. This on top of their note 7 billion dollar loss can affect them more than they think.

I have been reading through your comments and it is clear this defect is failing far more people than just me. I am currently compiling your photos to send over to their corporate team so they can no longer ignore the reality of what is happening to our phones.

Seeing this momentum grow proves that I am not the only one frustrated by the poor quality of these buttons. It feels validating to know so many of you are dealing with the same peeling finish on your devices.

I'm from Malaysia. always support Samsung mobile but really disappointed worh this issue. I've tried to claim the warranty but they refused. i agree to pay but the problem was i need to change the lcd together even don't have any problem. it will cost me rm1400 nearly half of the cost as new phone! plz, don't do this to me.
Same issue with my daughter's phone. Samsung is considering this physical damage vs. quality defect and voiding the rest of the warranty.. OOW BY CONDITION, PAINT IS PEELING OFF OF THE HOME KEY (LCD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED)
I bought a galaxy s7 edge in April 2016. After 8 months it is showing extensive peeling. I´ve had other cell phones from the samsung line (S2, S4) as well as iphones and I´ve never had this problema before. Samsung says it´s the customer´s fault and wont acknowledge this as a quality problem.
I had the same issue after 3months of normal usage. CONTACTED SAMSUNG AND WAS REPLACED WITH ANOTHER PHONE AFTER 7 MONTHS SAME THING IS HAPPENING WITH REPLACED PHONE.SAMSUNG HAS TO DO SOMETHING SERIOUSLY
Apple uses sapphire to protect their home button. Why can'take Samsung use something similarly durable?

I have note 8. Now the paint peeling off bar Bixby button. This is not in line with premium quality product I've paid loads of money for. Signing the petition

For paying 500 bucks for this phone , paint falling off the home button and for Samsung to tell me that it's physical damage and can exceed 200 bucks is truly terrible.
