I'm asking any and all drivers in the state of illinois to help make our roads safer in winter.
It's bad enough we have to deal with uncompleted construction and pot holes but this is far worse! Enough is enough time to act!
Let's start with traffic signals not being covered with snow for over 19hrs after a snow fall. I and many others were involved in accidents because people fail to stop or yield to unseen signals.
Roads being properly maintained by snow plowing and salting at a reasonable time after snow fall.
Let's do this to hold the cities we pay taxes for accountable. The safety of our loved ones, ourselves, and most importantly our future for safer travel.

I nearly got into a few car accidents at one intersection the day after the last massive snow storm. I couldn’t see the traffic lights which were at least 75-80% covered.
Sammy I respect your opinion you don't have to agree with nor sign this petition. But I'm not gonna get in an argument with you when it's a clear and present danger to any and all drivers. Thankyou for your valued opinion Dj
I was a very scary drive to work!
Too unsafe....recipe for accidents.
Too many accidents happen because you can't see the lights
Really this is pretty dumb. We pretty much had a blizzard and takes time for all the roads to get plowed and salt doesnt work right away and takes time to clean every light there our thousands of them. How about you use common sense and slow down

Pretty dangerous actually last night at Hartford and Roselle someone ran a red light because they could not see the color
