We, the undersigned, are concerned with the limited visibility and high speed of travel at the intersection of Kings Rd./95th Street and Alan Deatherage Dr. We understand a recent traffic study and review of crash data does not warrant Will County Department of Transportation (WCDOT) to place a stop sign at this intersection. An intersection sign has been recently placed on the South lane of Kings Rd./95th Street by the bridge to alert drivers of the intersection. However, we are still concerned that the intersection sign will not have a positive impact on the safety of the intersection. Also, the Village of Bolingbrook trimmed the bushes along the intersection in response to a Traffic Survey Request (see picture below). However, the speed of traffic coming from a curved road still makes this a dangerous intersection. We are requesting that both WCDOT and the Village of Bolingbrook take a closer look at this intersection and provide further options to make this intersection safe for anyone turning out of Alan Deatherage Dr. onto Kings Rd./95th Street.

The county still refuses to acknowledge the danger here despite the changes they made to the brush. I am currently putting together a formal packet of your comments to submit directly to the WCDOT office. Email your local representatives today and tell them that a simple warning sign is not enough to keep us safe.

The momentum behind this push proves the community is done waiting for action at this dangerous intersection. Email the Will County Department of Transportation today and demand they visit the site in person. Do not let them ignore the clear risk to those of us turning onto Kings Road.

This is a dangerous intersection due to high speed of travel and bushes that partially block view of cars coming around the curve on 95th. When turning north or south onto 95th street from Alan Deatherage there is often a car upon you that you didn't see even when properly checking for cars. I believe that the visibility needs to be improved (removal/replacement of bushes) and speed needs to be reduced for this intersection to function properly.
There is a visibility issue with the street curve, southbound; and speed. One must creep forward to obtain a better view of approaching traffic prior to entering King's Rd.
Turning from eastbound Allen Deatherage onto Kings/95th is very dangerous due to intersection visability and speed limit. Since Kings/95th opened I have witnessed numerous close calls including 2 involving school busses. If traffic volume does not justify a stop sign/light shouldn't safety also be considered?
This is a very dangerous intersection turning left onto Kings/95th from Alan Deatherage. Perhaps the study had little data due to the short time it's been open. I'd hate to think there's a quota on the number of accidents that have to occur before anything gets done. Being proactive is safer.
I'm afraid of my kids crossing the road. There are no signs saying slow down for children. I have seen three accidents there also. We need a flashing sign!!
