My name is Summer, owner of Summer's Hair Boutique at 900 Main Street, and resident of Old Shermantown located in the City of Stone Mountain. I am reaching out to you for support. I am seeking Your Signature on this petition to persuade the City Council to install a Safer and More Visible crosswalk on Main Street. What they have in place now is Dangerous and Insufficient. Every day I witness how dangerous it is for people to cross Main Street. Considering the high foot traffic between the businesses and the park, it is Crucial to address the need for a Safer and More Visible crosswalk. I have witnessed a biker being hit in the crosswalk closer to Weeyums, and it was a terrible sight. My biggest concern is for the children who use the crosswalks to go to and from the Christian Sports Center (karate). Please Support this cause by signing the petition and passing it along to your network. Let's work together to protect our community, especially our children. Thank you. ♥

I was just sweeping outside the shop and saw another car fly right through that intersection without even slowing down for the crosswalk markings which makes my blood boil honestly. The city still has not replied to my emails yet but I am busy drafting a follow up because someone needs to listen before another person gets hurt while just trying to walk to the park or karate class.

The crosswalk is vital for the safety of the children and other pedestrians using this road.
More signage and safer access has been needed for years so I definitely support the push for it

I have signed this petition to insure the safety of pedestrians within Stone Mountain village. Make it happen for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
I too am a resident of Stn Mtn, and customer of Summer’s! It would be lovely to have a safe cross walk for businesses here.

This is a very dangerous intersection and I pray the city of Stone Mountain implements a plan that’s already been designed to help make this more safe and more beautiful.
