We, the undersigned, feel it is necessary for a stop sign to be installed at the intersection of W Strong St. and North Austin Avenue for the following reasons: 1) There is no longer a crossing guard at this intersection, so the children walking to St. Constance School and Prussing School need additional safety 2) The traffic along Austin Avenue, especially during rush hour, travels at speeds higher than the posted limit 3) The distance between stop lights (Gunnison to Higgins) is long enough of a distance for the cars to achieve the higher acceleration
