We, the undersigned do hereby petition to install an additional two-way STOP SIGN (two more stop signs) at the
intersection of Edgley Avenue and Oakdale Avenue. We want to slow the speed of traffic to protect pedestrians, neighbors and children/parents at the bus stop.

The traffic down this road keeps getting faster and the near misses are exhausting to watch. I have been reaching out to the local council again today and I am waiting for them to acknowledge the danger we face every morning.

Seeing the count climb this high confirms that I am not the only one exhausted by the dangerous speed of cars at this corner. It is a relief to know this struggle is shared even when the process feels slow and heavy.

This is where we would be standing for our kids' bus stop if they were in school. As us parents wait for the bus, before and after school, we see cars going so fast, that sometimes they bottom out at that dip. We also walk and ride our bikes all around this area with our kids, and tend to cross where there is a 4 way stop instead of Edgley/Oakdale corner. A stop sign would be a great asset at that corner in order to keep our kids and families safe. Too many drivers not paying attention and best way to resolve that would be to slow them down!
Definitely ... stop Edgley Avenue from becoming too dangerous for children, walkers and pets .
I have only lived on Oakdale for 2 years, and have seen multiple near-accidents here already. I would highly recommend making this a 4-way stop!
This intersection has been a problem for years. It is confusing for many drivers who are not familiar with the area. People drive too fast through the intersection and when cars are parked close to the stop sign it is difficult to see oncoming cars unless you are half way into the intersection.
I hope this helps cut down on the number of people driving an excessive speed down our block, and possibly deters people from using our street as a cut through

I will miss watching the cars launch after hitting the dip in the road - this seems like a logical solution. Endorsed by the Serianni clan!
