In response to the rezoning application of Beazer Homes, LLC on Rock Springs RD, Case Number: RZM2021-00035, we ask that the planning commission and board of commissioners deny the request due to the significant increase in density in a residential area, which is not in line with the 2040 Gwinnett Unified Plan, and its impact on traffic in two already congested intersections on either end of Rock Springs RD, as well as its negative effect on the environment surrounding the wetland and its drainage into Ivy Creek.

I have been busy drafting letters to the planning office to ensure our concerns about Rock Springs Road are clearly laid out on their desks. It is truly humbling to see so many of you standing behind this because I never imagined this would grow into something this significant.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the way the community has rallied around this issue. It is clear that I am not the only one concerned about our neighborhood because this momentum is entirely a reflection of your commitment.

I grew up on the rock spring neighborhood and it was a very pleasant experience. However, now the area has become way to crowded. Now every time I come visit my parents on the weekends I have to plan for a road trip that how horrible the traffic has become.

Until you actually see the impact of more homes/cars on this street, you have no position to advance in building this complex. It is a two lane road that is OFTEN used as an alternative to highway 85. Overwhelming traffic and danger. Not a wise decision. Look for space that is suitable for expansion, not a space that is already overloaded. Please consider...

Lived in this area for 30 years. Brought up in Atlanta and was looking for an area like what I grew up in. This is going to destroy our relaxing community feel. If I had wanted to live in a townhome/apartment environment I would have bought somewhere else. Way too much traffic will be generated. Please vote NO!!

Traffic from the Rocksprings Elementary School is already causing traffic in our neighborhood where they are turning in our neighborhood just to turn around and make a left turn back onto Rocksprings.... because they can't turn left out of the school... enough is enough...

That would be at least an extra 220 cars added to already crowded Buford Drive, Rocksprings Rd, Old P’tree, Collins Hill and L’ville Suwanee Rd! Not to mention all the additional children flooding the schools there. The Commissioners should be protecting our quality of life.

We just moved in this area and very disappointed seeing the construction plans. There is so much traffic, single lane road. 200 homes = 400 to 450 cars at least. This will not only have a negative affect on the people living here but also all the nature and wild life.

No to Beazer Homes. Need more green space. Don't need more traffic.

I am a Springfield Estates resident and I oppose. The traffic, school zone, and wildlife will be greatly affected by these townhouses. I see no benefit to the community, only the people who are building will benefit.
