Final supporters
Act now before its too late! The busy Braishfield Road cuts our community in half. The road has a 40mph speed limit and no crossing points. We are afraid that someone will be seriously injured or killed crossing this road. We have collected testimonials from many members of our community, including:
- a young woman in a wheelchair, who cannot get to the shops because it is not safe for her to cross the road without a crossing point.
- older residents afraid to cross the road to reach the bus-stop on the other side.
- parents and young children being unable to cross the road, unless a kind motorist stops their car and forces the traffic to stop so that they can cross.
- parents having to drive their older children to school, because of the dangers of crossing the road unaccompanied.
We are calling for the following immediate improvements to the road:
i) a reduction in the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph.
ii) a crossing point to be installed at the junction with School Road.

The latest volume of support has secured us a meeting with the local planning department later this month. We are currently preparing a formal briefing document to present the testimonial data we collected regarding Braishfield Road. I will provide a summary of the outcome once the discussions conclude.

cant even get to the bus stop anymore without taking my life in my hands. fix this now.
its honestly a nightmare trying to get across this road with the kids. cars just fly down there like its a motorway, really scary.
