On behalf of many Riverside students and teachers, this petitions serves as a proposal for the implementation of a Riverside Band Program that will range from 6th grade to 12 Grade. A band program will open more educational experiences and present more opportunities to represent our school throughout the state. With a band program students will have another means and a better chance of obtaining scholarships for college. Riverside Elementary, Middle School and High School would benefit with having a band program for its students. Please sign this petition to show support for the implementation of a band program at Riverside School.

I was talking to a few teachers in the parking lot earlier and it is wild how much they want this as badly as we do because they know the music room is just sitting there empty and dusty. Sometimes I wonder if the board realizes how many kids would actually show up for practice if they just gave us the chance to start the program but maybe that is just me hoping for too much.

My children are very musically inclined. One is very shy but very talented. The band would help him to develop social skills and to engage outside of the classroom. It would also be an incentive to do good in school and something to look forward to for the younger children.
Yes, we need a band. Bring back the old traditions. Love to hear tusk on the field again.
Riverside definitely needs a band. O’Bannon has one now so it is only fair to offer the same to RIverside students
To be honest, it sounds awesome. Hopefully it's implemented before '23 graduates, I'd love to play.
Academic studies show that band, music, and art increase learning. Implementation of band is a great idea.
Here to show my support that highschool should have a band. ( I'm 6th Grade. :)

A band makes a huge difference at pep rallies, athletic games, etc. It is another way that students can excel at school and have a sense of belonging. Go Band!
