We are the students, families, and supporters of Riverside High School asking for a volleyball team.

Many of our students have expressed genuine interest in playing volleyball, and that interest deserves to become a real opportunity. Right now, those students have limited options in the fall. Adding a volleyball program would give more of us a chance to get involved in school life, build teamwork, and stay active. It would also let athletes pursue multiple sports, which helps students develop their skills, confidence, and competitive drive across different experiences.

Volleyball matters because it offers something many of us need: a non-contact team sport that welcomes athletes who don't see themselves in football or basketball but still want to represent our school, work hard, and belong to something. For students who might otherwise sit on the sidelines, a volleyball team is the difference between watching and playing, between being left out and being part of the community.

School athletics shape who gets to participate and who doesn't. Right now, our fall sports roster leaves gaps. A volleyball program would make our athletic offerings more inclusive and responsive to what our student body actually wants.

We call on Riverside High School to establish a volleyball team. Our students are ready. Our community is ready. We are asking you to meet us there.
