This is outrageous, he's the victim, he's a pensioner and was defending himself and his wife from 2 young criminals who could potentially have killed him and his family.

Not only should he be freed, but the law needs changing to allow citizens the right to arm themselves LEGALLY for self defence as the police and government have lost control of the streets and are incapable of protecting us.

This old man was defending his disabled wife and his home against a 35 year old hooligan who was armed with a screw driver. We want justice for Richard Osborn Brooks. He should be freed immediately and returned to his wife and home

Please free this poor vulnerable man who at 78 years old must of been absolutely petrified to wake up to find 2 intruders in his property! He does not deserve all the media speculation into his private life he has already been through such an horrendous ordeal.

Please free this man. He was defending himself and probably never wanted to accidentally kill his opponent. It's disgusting that he has been arrested.

Mr Osborn-Brooks defended himself and his family from a career criminal living outside of the law. He sacrificed his rights the moment he entered the victims property. The criminal would be more than aware of this - he took his chance and lost. Good riddance.
