Mr Osborn-Brooks defended himself and his family from a career criminal living outside of the law. He sacrificed his rights the moment he entered the victims property. The criminal would be more than aware of this - he took his chance and lost. Good riddance.

OUTRAGEOUS TREATMENT

Anyone who breaks into anyone’s home with intent to steal or harm, should loose any rights to protection under the law. The homeowner should be able to defend himself, his family and his property. If the attacker ends up dead ... so be it!

Give Brooks a MEDAL and jail for LIFE anyone else involved in this burglary.

We need a change in the law to protect law-abiding citizens from increasingly 'politically correct' police.

Give Richard an award for bravery and no way charge him.

The burglar deserved all he got. An innocent man protecting himself and his property is a hero.

Man was protecting his home, his life and his wife. BURGLAR died because he should not have been there in first instance.

Mr Osborn-Brooks, you are your wife’s hero & deserve a medal for your bravery. You didn’t ask for this & I am sorry you & your wife have been subjected to this.

He's the victim not the intruder! To keep him jailed up is despicable! He was protecting his family and his home!

It is ridiculous that this man has been arrested for protecting his home & wife!

Should be given a medal not a prison sentence

No way should he be prosecuted, in his own home protecting his property. If the burglar had not broken in he would still be alive. it was his own fault.

No one should be threatened in their own home and must be allowed to defend themselves in this type of situation
