The WCBOE unilaterally decided to close schools and to continue Distance Learning to begin the school year with no end date mentioned. This violates our rights as parents and the rights of our children!
The board has not yet responded to our initial inquiries regarding the transition to distance learning. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the administration to request a clear timeline for the resumption of in-person instruction.

The momentum behind this petition highlights the growing frustration regarding the current education policy. Your engagement demonstrates that many families find the lack of a clear timeline for school building access unacceptable.

Options... options would have been nice. There could have been a hybrid schedule. Those who want, or should for medical reasons, to teach an learn from home should have the option to do so. There is a safe way to make in school learning a success. I truly feel for this generation of students

This decision was made with no consideration for the mental well being of the students. They need to be in the classroom. The teachers who are from fighting to return should be able to do so in a safe manner. Let the ones who are uncomfortable to do the distance learning. Give parents the option. Listen to the students and parents.

Parents and teachers want MORE options than only distance learning. Children need their peers and interaction with teachers.
