The Community of CWA is demanding that Clare Woods Academy approves a remote learning plan to keep our students, staff and community safe. The current reopening of our school poses an unnecessary danger due to the large percentage of high risk persons within our population. The state regulations would be nearly impossible for the students to follow due to sensory issues and other factors, putting everyone at a greater risk of exposure to Covid-19.
The learning conditions directly impact students’ success and their ability to meet their goals. We must begin the semester remote learning until a safer learning environment can be reasonably maintained.
Opening is unsafe and unwise not only for our students, but for our staff. The risk is far too high at the moment. We have already experienced remote learning and even though it is inconvenient, we have learned how to do it proficiently. Please don’t put our health at risk over something we could easily protect ourselves and other vulnerable people from.
