The Board has not responded to our request for the meeting minutes yet. Go to the Creative Play Center social media page and post a comment asking for transparency. Send an email to the board members today and demand they release the Employment Committee records.

The momentum behind this review is undeniable and shows that our community demands transparency from the board. Text three neighbors to keep the pressure on the Employment Committee today. I am curious why the Employment Committe did not review goals directly with Ms. Botting? Wouldn't that be the most logical, straight-to-the-point, and fair way to go about the decision?
Mrs Botting is a warm and caring teacher. She has loved and cared for our children( in my case, grandson) wholeheartedly. She has helped each and every one of them to grow and prepared them with the skills needed to enter kindergarten with confidence.
Teachers are our unsung heroes and in today's society they are sometimes ignored and often under compensated. My son was never in Mrs. Botting's class, but I can understand how difficult teaching can be from my experience in the past three years co-oping (at Loma Vista the first two). It is a profession that demands constant attention from all directions. I found that a teacher has to not only tutor her students, but the parents as well.

I'm sorry to say this is 1 1/2 years too late. It is unfortunate that it has come to this. But those who feel that time is not an issue should be respectful of those who do.
You know what they say about people who assume, Steve. Furthermore, I did NOT know that you weren't ever in her class to "experience all she had to offer". Thank you for that information. Please get the facts, then make your stance on the matter. If you have gotten close to certain teachers, I can understand where you are coming from, but try to keep an open mind. If not for yourself, then for the future children at school. If you still feel the same or refuse to look at the orher side, it is my hope that your child will one day come across her as his teacher.
I'm assuming you know fair well that I was not in the class. So I will take your dismissive comment to mean you know best. I strongly disagree with you. Even more so now.

I saw Mrs. Botting quite a bit after I picked up my son and she was so nice and always had a smile on her face... I just don't understand how this decision could have been made. My last day at housing and maintenance I overheard some of the parents talking about how great Mrs. Botting was and how they were looking forward to having their children in her class. A week later I heard she was no longer going to be at CPC... It should not take just one or two people to change a life. I feel that everyone should have been on board with this decision.
