Final supporters
This is a petition to reverse the abolition of the blue skort at Miami Country Day School. Earlier this year, the administration made the decision to allow Upper School girls to wear blue and khaki skorts to school. They abruptly reversed this decision in October after many girls had already spent hundreds of dollars and bought multiple skorts. The only reason given for this change was that they were "too short," which is unsatisfactory as we live in a warm climate and many girls wear their shorts at the same length.

The school office is still ignoring our emails about the policy reversal. I am preparing a formal letter to present to the administration next.

it is honestly ridiculous that they told us to buy them and then banned them a few weeks later. my mom already spent over 100 bucks on these and they are just sitting in my closet now.
let the girls wear the skorts. its florida for god sake its way too hot for pants everyday.
Sports should not be banned! This is a piece of uniform that I wanted to go get next week and was sad due to the fact that they were banned.
I think that the blue skorts should not be banned as they spent a good amount of money on the skorts, however, I don't believe the skorts were banned due to sexism. #LongLiveTheSkorts
I like skorts. They are comfortable. I don't like sexism. It is not comfortable.

I understand why they may have banned the skirts because I've seen girls wearing them too short but it's unfair to the girls who wear them at an appropriate length. I don't think it's for a sexist reason though.
