As a retired non- practicing pharmacist, unless your name is on the General Pharmaceutical Council Register, you will not be able to call yourself a pharmacist. This, after years of study, followed by decades of devotion to the profession whether in industrial, research or retail. Nobody entering this field would imagine that it is a get rich quick option; however all of us thought of it as an honourable calling which would earn us respect throughout the years of work and beyond. Sign this petition urging the Pharmaceutical Society to accord us due respect for our past efforts, and a ststus worthy of that repect. The deadline for this petition is 18 March. It will then be forwarded to The Pharmaceutical Society.

I am sponsoring this petition as a pharmacist who devoted the best part of my life in the retail sector. This covers some 50 years, labour of love from which I derived great satisfaction in helping to promote public health & wellbeing.
