To the Escondido City Council: We the undersigned support the proposal put forth by Escondido City Council member Olga Diaz to rescind Resolution 2007-16, which states that the City will “address the public nuisance of illegal immigration by aggressively working to prohibit and address acts, policies, people and businesses that aid and abet illegal aliens.” This resolution that passed in 2007 is offensive and divisive and has no place as a guiding policy for the city.
