We, the undersigned citizens of Prescott, AZ resolve that:
1. In the absence of a clearly articulated policy on the approval of artistic content of public works in Prescott, we do not grant the Director of Parks and Recreation the sole right to arbitrate what is and is not acceptible artistic content for public works.
2. The Community Bench, whose construction was approved by the City of Prescott, represents the diversity of citizens in Prescott and should not be removed from Granite Creek Park.
3. Complaints from a vocal minority do not constitute a sufficient reason to remove a public work whose construction has already been approved.
Why is the city wasting money on this? Fix the roads instead of worrying about a bench that everyone actually likes.
