This petition has been made to stop the "No Sanctuary" Resolution in Kent, NY. This resolution will allow Kent to contact the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Police will be able to stop people and ask for their citizenship and credentials. This could be used to profile and discriminate against many different people in the community.

I am currently consolidating the community feedback into a formal brief to present at the next town board session. My focus remains on challenging the specific legal language of the proposed resolution during this meeting.

bad idea. let our police focus on actual crime instead of wasting time acting like federal agents.
MY NEIGHBORS ARE GOOD PEOPLE THIS RESOLUTION IS JUST GONNA SCARE EVERYONE AND MAKE THE TOWN FEEL UNSAFE. DONT DO IT.

this is wrong. kent is better than this. keep politics out of our local police.
