We, the members of the Illinois State Beekeepers Association hereby request Jim Belli to step down from the board.

During the past two years, of the ISBA Jim has made decisions without Board input or approval. He has orchestrated meetings with little transparency or democracy. He has bullied those that have disagreed with his decisions.

We find this verbally abusive nature toward board members and others reprehensible. We do not wish this kind of representation for beekeepers in Illinois.

The feedback I keep getting confirms that the culture of bullying has gone on far too long within our association. Dealing with this level of obstruction is exhausting but the stories coming in keep me anchored to the necessity of this fight.

Seeing this level of support confirms that I am not the only one exhausted by the current leadership. It has been a long and draining road but knowing so many of you agree keeps me moving forward.

I've maintained my distance from ISBA events because of Mr. Belli, I refuse to support an organization where the President and any officers make decisions that are self serving and do not tolerate bullying of those who do not agree.

Hello All Illinois State Beekeepers Association Members- Enough is enough! As a dues paying member, I personally experienced the bullish behavior and his disregard of the association's bylaws when working on the early stages of the 2013 Summer Meeting. Jim's actions was not acceptable behavior nor pleasant to experience. It is now evident that similar behavior has been repeated over and over again to different members who volunteer to contribute to our state organization, all with no consequences to Mr. Belli. It is time to remove this person from any leadership position. The record shows, he has not corrected his behavior and has escalated his negative behavior again this month. Larry Studer

The ISBA needs leadership that will allow letters to the editor to be printed in the newsletter when it is regarding the behavior of its president. Jim Belli should also apologize before he resigns for giving MONSANTO a certificate of appreciation.
