We The People of Upstate New York, in light of recent events demand the removal of the NY SAFE Act from Upstate NY.
- Our Legislature has indicated by their actions on 1 April 2016, with a 61 Aye. 1 Nay. vote on Bill 07257B that NY State is in fact divided at the Westchester County northern border.
- The New York Legislature in this legislation has enacted different minimum wage requirements for New York City, Long Island and Westchester, and Upstate New York – it should be acceptable to demand they enact different gun laws for those regions as well. With the removal of the SAFE Act from Upstate NY defined as those counties north of Westchester County.
- Crime statistics have shown that a majority of arrests and convictions from the SAFE Act come from New York City and regions south of Westchester County.
We the undersigned, being legal residents of New York State sign this petition of our own free will with the intent of enacting change to the SAFE Act S02230.

I opose the safe act, and CUOMO!
The right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED! Pretty simple...

Brilliant ! This state should have been divided over 30 yrs ago. YES - Keep those of us who know how to use guns safely and own them for the purpose of providing food and sportsmanship separate from those who need to own guns to defend themselves from the uncivilized cultures that hide in the shadows of massive populations. Allow us to have our own laws to govern our civilized law abiding citizens. Thank you !
