To ALL MEMBERS OF THE ASSEMBLY & SENATE
of the state of new york:
We the undersigned Residents of the State of New York allege and aver as follows:
Upon our notification thatNYS Governor Andrew Cuomo is considering proposing a mandatory statewide long gun registry and firearm Owner Identification (FOID) card;
and
UPON the fact thata Long Gun Registry and FOID card are wholly unjust, unconstitutional, unrelated to public safety, infringes on the ability of NYS citizens to secure their homes, exposes gun owners to having their names, addresses and guns disclosed to the public, and jeopardizes peaceful gun owners with felony arrests and confiscations;
Please take notice that we, the undersigned, WILL NOT COMPLY with such unconstitutional directives; will spend money, organize, and passionately work to defeat each and every Member of the Assembly and Senate who advocates, condones or votes in favor of the Long Gun Registry and FOID card proposals and will support and back those members who fight aforesaid measures in protection of our Constitution and citizens.
Long gun owners constitute the majority of households in New York State.
Tell your colleagues we will not entertain any such unconstitutional legislation.

The sheer volume of people joining this fight proves that Albany cannot ignore us any longer. Cuomo and his allies in the legislature need to realize that we are not backing down from this fight for our constitutional rights.

It’s unconstitutional you shouldn’t have to register any rifle or shotgun it’s protected under the 2nd amendment
We declared independence from england in 1776. We don’t follow England’s lead and won’t give up our firearms or our constitution.
Stop with the SICK, New York gun laws. If This law is passed, New Yorker's wont register them. So when they get stolen , it cant be reported. It's happening already with the Dumb Safe Act. Gets' stolen can't say anything.
Supporting this insane act will kill hunting and conservation in this Godforsaken state.
We will not comply with anymore restrictions on our Second Amendment rights. These rights are not given to us by any man. These rights were given to us by our forefathers through God's word.
