The owners just confirmed the renovation plans are officially moving forward. I spent so much of my childhood in those seats and I cannot wait to see this place get the life it deserves. Keep an eye on the front doors for the construction crews to arrive.

Driving past Rio Plaza today made me realize how much we all miss having a theater that feels like a home instead of a prison. I have been talking to neighbors who remember the same magic I do and we are tired of watching our town slowly lose its heart.

I grew up sitting in those ripped seats and watching that faded screen. We are just a few names away from hitting our first hundred signatures so please send this link to someone who remembers the theatre the way it used to be.

I grew up there and seeing this movie theater is really sad. I see all these new establishments opening up around it and now it looks so run down. It would be a place where kids can stay out of trouble if they remodeled it and added an arcade to it for the kids.
I couldn’t agree more. This is one of the few attractions here in Alice. The revenue would increase if it was more appealing and clean. Remodeling would bring more people to the area to enjoy instead of traveling out of town like we do to watch a movie.
I believe this needs to be done and is long overdue. Alice TX needs an entertainment center that actually looks like one and that will attract others. It would be nice to add on to it as well and give it life. An additional bowling alley would be fun as well with a bigger arcade/glow in the dark golf. Alice deserves this and hopefully it happens.
This whole place needs a remodel. We go to cc watch a movie. It smells, it’s hot, they need leather seats and most of all upgrade the screens. They’re too dark we can’t see scary movies right. We would start spending here in Alice if This place gets a major remodel.
From going to this theater as a child and now, the only thing that’s changed about this theater is the seats and prices going up. I have a little girl now and want her to have the best version of our theater.

I recently had my date come from another town to enjoy a movie here in Alice I was embarrassed at how disgusting the theater looked never again
