** No Donations Needed** Today February 1, 2021, Regis College has made a premature announcement that our May 2021 commencement will be virtual. This is a petition to support all majors graduating. After four years of hard work and half of the junior year and all of the senior year being stolen from us, we deserve them to reconsider this decision. People are able to live on campus and go to in-person classes, it is not impossible to imagine that Regis can come up with a way to give us our graduation. I am sure that many people will settle for smaller groups, a limited number of attendees, or a ceremony in August when the country is projected to be fully vaccinated, something that will give us the graduation we deserve. Thank you all in advance!

I have been reading through the comments all morning and honestly some of your stories are just heartbreaking because we really did lose so much of our senior year experience already. I am currently drafting a letter to the administration to see if we can at least get a meeting to discuss alternative options like smaller group ceremonies or even pushing things back to summer if that makes them feel safer.

We are getting so near to that two hundred fifty mark and it honestly feels like things are moving way faster than I expected which is great because the administration is definitely going to start paying attention once we hit that threshold. Please just nudge whoever you can to sign before the end of the day keep the momentum going because I really think we can force them to see that we just want a real ceremony since we have already sacrificed so much of our time here.

As a Registered Nurse my graduation meant the world to me! Please find a safe way to allow these students to realize their dreams!!! It’s a lifetime achievement!!!!!
Regis had over a YEAR to figure this out. We aren’t a big school. Why am I paying 10k a semester for them to cancel graduation for the second year in a row. They used little creativity and it shows here. Totally disappointed I spent my 4 years (and money) here at regis
I “graduated” class of 2020 from Regis, and was not given a graduation due to the pandemic. Everyone has worked so hard during the pandemic. The class of 2021 deserves an in person graduation. Especially if other schools have been able to do graduation in person safety.
I would be fine not having visitors if that means we can walk! I feel like this is Regis being lazy. We easily could break the days up and have small gatherings by major. Most of us are frontline workers!
Please allow for the students to have a graduation ceremony it is so important for first generation families. Family members can watch virtually nursing students will be vaccinated makes no sense why this can’t be held on the football all field THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!’

There should be a way to have the graduation ceremony. The lawn outside Regis would be perfect! Hold several ceremonies with social distancing the week leading up to May 8th. Safety is definitely important but truly believe this is possible.
