We are petitioning for the immediate reconsideration of the Fairfield Prep 2020 graduation plans. In the spirit of brotherhood and fellowship, Fairfield Prep must do better than a virtual/drive up graduation on August 2nd. We request that you contact St.Josephs and Notre Dame's administration as they both successfully hosted in person ceremonies while meeting state guidelines. In addition, the administration needs to include students in planning to garner their thoughts and opinions. A group of students and parents are willing to come together to discuss logistics with the administration to make an alternative that is acceptable and appropriate for this group of young men.

Our hope is that the administration will recognize the significance of the class of 2020 being honored and celebrated together on graduation day!

A Jesuit institution should be able to do better than what is currently planned for the graduation. You will especially regret holding it as planned when you ask the 2020 graduates to donate to the school in a few years.

There's no reason that these Fairfield Prep seniors shouldn't have some type of in-person, formal graduation ceremony within the current guidelines dealing with COVID-19, as have most schools like Shelton High, Trumbull High and St. Joseph's High.

Seeing a lot of friends that are teachers or friends kids that graduated. Notre Dame of Fairfield did the best so far - 2 separate Graduations - the Graduate and 2 parents were seated together and all Grads had masks as well as the parents/guardians did. see if that can be done.

The brotherhood bond is real and there is great sadness that the boys would all be saying goodbye separately. There has to be another way. Putting on a tux for a photo with your family does not cut it. Please reconsider.

We would much prefer an outside graduation on the Bellarmine lawn - Plenty of space to socially distance...Please reconsider and look at the other ceremonies that were held by local high schools that worked out quite well.

If people can be out to dinner, go to the beach, play golf and get their haircut, then it surely is feasible to have an in person graduation ceremony for these fine young men and their families. Broadcasting live for those needing to be a further distance will include all.

As a grandparent of a graduate this year, and a graduate if the class of 2018, and a member of the of the class of 2023, I am disappointed that Prep couldn’t find a way to celebrate the sense of community that the school works so hard to instill in their young men as they graduate.
