We, the students of the Class of 2026, would like to kindly ask for the possibility of holding our graduation ceremony in a special and memorable location, such as the Grote Markt or another beautiful venue that truly reflects the importance of this milestone.
Graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, a celebration of all the effort, learning, and growth that have shaped our years here. We believe that holding the ceremony in a meaningful place would make this day even more special, not only for us but also for our families, friends, and the entire university community.
We would also love to have the opportunity to wear graduation gowns in addition to the caps. Wearing the full academic attire would make the ceremony feel more formal and festive, helping us celebrate this important step with pride and unity.
We completely understand that this may require discussion about logistics and finances, and we would be more than happy to explore possible solutions together; whether through partnerships, small student contributions, or other creative ideas.
Our intention is not just to make the ceremony bigger, but to make it more meaningful, inclusive, and memorable for everyone involved. We deeply appreciate your time, effort, and openness to hearing our perspective.

I would love to graduate in a special place where it feels everything i have studied and suffered for felt really worth it
I 've always dreamed of having an official, traditional university graduatation and was truly disappointed to have discovered there might not be one. I would really, really appreciate it if we could hold a proper, meaningul graduation ceremony. Warm regards, Dori
Imagine paying 10k+ € in fees and your graduation is in a small closed classroom.
I fully agree with it. I want my graduation to be memorable and beautiful. Just like graduation from the Brussels university that was held on grand place in Brussels. And graduation gowns is a very good addition!
I worked really hard for this graduation, and it’s my lifelong dream to graduate in front of my mother who never had the chance to attend university

Not only for class of 2026. I will be graduating in 2027. Me and my classmates were talking about how awful our senior's graduation was. Especially for international student, we expects more!! I come all the way from southeast asia to pursue my studies just to be disappointed about how lack of effort the uni put towards us. Now my parents were contemplating whether they want to come for my graduation or not and take at least 17hrs of flight, just to find out how pathetic my graduation is.
