- There seems to be a large amount of theft at Maritzburg College that is not being adequately dealt with. Without persecution the perpetrators will become more brazen but without knowing the extent of the problem it is hard to quantify the action that is needed to reverse this trend. This petition seeks to resolve this question.
- Our intention is to gather information on the extent of the problem through this unsanctioned petition and present it's findings to the Headmaster (Mr C Luman), The Deputy Headmaster (Mr M Marwick) and the Chairman of the School Governing Body (Mr S Colenbrander) for comment, review and action if necessary.

Alondwe's iPhone 6 was stolen at school on Thursday, 07 September 2023. I have reported the matter to the head of discipline who promised to assist.
AirPods out his blazer pocket. Blazer was in his locker (not locked). Rugby boots out his dorm. He dropped his blazer while running past Clark House to the car. When he realised, he went back but it was gone. He has checked lost property a number of times.

Mid August JLB earphones stolen out of BE locker while in the shower. Clothing (specifically boarder blacks) gone missing - presumably while in the shower and licker left open temporarily. 11/09/2023 Calculator taken off desk in a free period.
