As a resident of Cromwells way I see first hand the speeding cars that whizz up and down our school Road, it is absolutely crazy that we should be petitioning for a reduced speed in a built up area where children play freely as children should, Our children are being put at risk even as we collect them from school because our road is a 30mph zone which most people take litterally and a lot go above. If our children's lives are not worth the cost of speed bumps or a lowered speed limit then we are bringing our children up in the wrong town!!

I have submitted a formal request for a traffic assessment report to the local council highways department. This documentation is the necessary baseline for our upcoming meeting with elected officials to discuss physical traffic calming measures at this site.

Both my children have attended Bovey Primary school, with my youngest still there. Far too many drivers go too fast on that road

As the School Crossing Patrol I definitely would like to see speed restrictions of some sort, not only in Cromwells Way, but also Fore St, which is where I am on duty.
