It is currently a 40mph speed limit outside the school which I feel is too high. The traffic calming signal warning vehicles coming down Fence Hill towards the school to slow down if they are doing over 30mph, is often ignored or causes confusion as the road is a 40mph limit drivers only slow down to 40mph.

All the research suggests that a child struck at 30mph is much more likely to survive. This decision should be a no brainier for RMBC
The speed limit on this road is ridiculous having live next to the school for many years I have seen numerous accidents luckily no one has been badly injured but it's only a matter of time and I for one don't want it to be mine or anyone else's children LET GET THE LIMIT REDUSED
Personally I'd like to see a 20 mph limit between 8:30 and 9:00, and then 2:45 till 3:15, but 30mph would be some positive progress. Let's do this before someone is hurt not after.
Shame on you RMBC. My children were almost knocked down 18 months ago when a car mounted the pavement on this road. This was reported to the council who were completely disinterested. disgusting. Slow the traffic down
too many near misses and a biker knocked over last week, i am nervous crossing the road whenh i take my daughter to school and many drivers go above 40, please get it lowered and get speed dampners in place

Council needs a death before they will act. See the 2009 report recommending 20mph limit amongst other interventions, ie no action in last 6 years. Disgusting.
