Final supporters
SCLLR has decided to raise annual licenses for the SC Athletic Commission. They have changed the prior License fee for Amateur and Pro MMA contestants from $25 to $75. They have also changed the price for Seconds (Cornermen) from $50 to $100. It is $275 for an Amateur Contestant and his two cornerman annually, which are currently the highest license fees in the Southeast. The cost for an Amateur MMA fighter and his 2 Cornerman is roughly half that in the second highest state, NC at $150. Pro and Amateur Contestant and Cornermen Licenses in GA are $20, and many States in the Southeasthave no license fees for Amateur Contestants and their Cornermen. South Carolina claims to be a state that for competitive business, but this example of the opposite. Help support Small Business and the Fastest Growing Sport in the World here in SC.

Reaching this level of visibility takes a toll, but seeing people acknowledge how these costs hurt our fighters keeps me going. We are proving that South Carolina cannot just price out small local businesses without being called out for it.

Fix this now. Costs are way too high for local guys just tryna get a few fights in.
Who do these people think they are taxing us this much for amateurs. Get a real job instead of shaking down fighters.

Ridiculous compared to Georgia. My gym boys cant afford this just to train.
