On 25 July 2022 at 18h00 the SPCA removed 18 Tortoises, 3 Racing pigeons and 1 Rock Pigeon from our home in Sun Valley after receiving a complaint of dogs howling and living in a dirty environment. We have lived in Sun Valley for 50yrs and never had an issue with the SPCA regarding our animals. We found out that Cape Nature did not have us on their system permitting us to own the tortoises and no where can we find anything about having a permit for the pigeons. We are asking the community for their support with regards to reclaiming our animals that were removed without warning and without justified reasoning. The community know myself and my family very well and this petition is to ask you to stand by in the support of having our animals returned to us. Please sign this petition if you are in support of our plea to have our animals returned, if you have NO issues with our howling huskies and if you agree that our home/property is of a clean and healthy nature for the animals we provide a safe haven for.
