We are asking for your support with our efforts to reestablish Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity at Shippensburg University. For many of us both Sig Tau and Shippensburg made a significant impact on our lives both our time in college and continuing today. We would again like to offer that opportunity to a new generation of young men at Shippensburg. If you want to help provide the opportunity for them to enjoy a thriving campus life and a brotherhood experience that last a lifetime please sign the attached petition. Thank you for your support.

Sig Tau was such an important part of my life while I was at Ship from '65-'69. Not just the social aspects of the fraternity, but the sense of belonging to a group of like minded individuals, opportunities for self-discovery and personal growth as an individual, and reaching a whole new level of maturity during my 4 years at Ship. The brotherhood and comradery I found in Sig Tau definitely helped me become a better person.

Being an Sig Tau was monumental to my college life and every moment of my life since I pledged in 1997. It taught me values and shapes and helped shape me into the man I am today. I would do anything for my brothers whether I talked to them yesterday or haven’t in 20 years. I haven’t been back to Ship since I graduated. There is nothing to go back to. Having Sigma Tau Gamma back would give me a reason to come back to Ship and support.

Here it is more than 40 years after I graduated from Shippensburg as a Sig Tau brother and we still are able to meet annually to continue our relationships and support each other through fund raising events.

Sigma Tau Gamma was an influential social and academic componet to my 4 years at Ship. I graduated in 1965, earned 2 more degrees and retired as an emeritus professor of teacher education at Kent State University. Thank you Sig Tau! Bill Wilen

Becoming a Sig Tau brother did more than add fun to my four years in college, it enriched friendships I already had and provided me with new ones that, over 40 years later, remain as strong as they ever were. We weren’t all the same, but we developed a common bond and love for each other that I will never forget.

I am approaching 60 and count dozens of Sig Tau’s as lifelong close friends to this day and my first two jobs were a result of fraternity connections. Invaluable experience!
