Temple Greek Life members, students, alumni, friends and family alike,

As you may have heard, Temple University has decided to dissolve the relationship between the University and the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) Sigma-Phi chapter due to a few minor violations in areas such as the Good Neighbor Policy, and certain codes pertaining to registered social events. In the past three years, the current members of TKE have gone to extraordinary lengths to better their chapter in the eyes of Temple and our peers.

The Tau Kappa Epsilon Sigma-Phi chapter feels that it was undoubtedly wronged by the University for receiving such an extreme punishment for such a minor offense. The fraternity feels that it is being treated as a scapegoat within the student body at the hands of the Temple Police Department and Student Organization departments specifically in an effort to crack down on the night-life activities that happen just off campus.

Although the fraternity understands that it is at fault for minor violations, it feels that the complete removal of the chapter, after 22 straight years of recognition, is completely unjust. TKE Sigma-Phi needs your help by simply signing this petition to let the University know that the chapter does not deserve to be removed from Temple’s Greek Life system. We as the student body need to make sure that completely unfair ramifications such as this one do not dictate our school’s future.

The Tau Kappa Epsilon Sigma-Phi chapter thanks you.

Temple administration is watching this tracker and they are terrified of the momentum we are building. Push this hard right now because we need to hit one thousand signatures before we force them to answer for this pathetic decision.

I have no sympathy for the fraternity until it tells us what these 'minor violations' are, so we can actually judge whether or not they deserve to be dissolved. Also, this passage loses credibility the more times the writer calls the fraternity "they" instead of "it." That all being said, I still hope for the correct decision to be made in this situation. I would just like to know what the situation actually is.

TKE has many many contributions to the community. To dissolve this fraternity for any unjust or minor infraction would be a decision that would detract from the community. TKE and the members within the organization have always gone above and beyond to do the right thing and make the community a better place.

This is ridiculous. Greek life at temple is already struggling and now they wanna target the TKE guys for nothing? Let them stay.

UNFAIR. Plain and simple. Administrators just want to look tough.

Kicking them out is totally extreme. TKE has been around forever and they do way more good than bad on campus. Temple needs to chill out.

Allegedly, they had a standard party during a time when they shouldnt have had one. That's as much of it as ive heard from anyone. No one died, no one was attacked, nothing, just a party. Not something worth kicking an org off campus for if you ask me
