Theta Tau is a co-ed professional engineering fraternity seeking to establish itself at Columbia University as a recognized student organization. Reactivated by SEAS students the Fall of 2007 after a 30+ year hiatus, we have not yet been recognized by Columbia University.
Our goal is to spread and intensify the interest in engineering/applied sciences on campus and to provide leadership development and professional development catered to engineers.
The mission to our members is to develop and maintain a high standard of professional and engineering interest amongst members and unite them in a strong bond of fraternal fellowship.
Our members are strongly encouraged to volunteer, join other engineering organizations, and seek leadership roles in organizing activities and events, strengthening the influence of engineers and engineering organizations on campus.
We hope that you will sign this petition to show your support of our organization. By signing this petition, you are expressing to Columbia University that this organization deserves recognition as part of this campus. We hope to collaborate with you soon!

Seeing this kind of movement is exhausting but it keeps me moving forward. Getting this far proves that people actually care about our place on this campus even when the administration keeps us at a distance.

Engineering students need a space like this on campus. It makes no sense that they are still waiting for recognition after all this time.

Columbia needs to stop dragging its feet and just approve this already. It's been way too long.

Theta Tau is such a great group. They do so much work for the SEAS community and they deserve to be official.
