SAVE THE R BAR SIGN FROM GETTING TAKEN DOWN BY THE CHARITABLE ORGANISATION OXFAM... The sign has been up at the end of the alleyway by R Bar since the 70 s and now its going to be taken down. We have not done anything to warrant these actions, in fact we paid to get their wall painted 2 years ago to clean up the alleyway and have tried to reason with them to enable us to keep it up. The removal of this sign will damage business and therefor jeopardise innocent peoples jobs. R Bar has become an institution for a lot of people so please help us by signing the petition.
Oxfam has refused to meet with us to discuss keeping the sign up. Post the link to the petition on your Facebook page right now and tag their official account. We need to turn up the pressure so they understand that our neighborhood will not lose this piece of history without a fight.

so sad to hear this. the alley looks way better because of the bar. why go after a small business that actually contributes to the area?

Absolutely ridiculous. R Bar is a staple and that sign is part of the scenery. Don't take it down!!

Ridiculous. Oxfam should worry about bigger problems than a sign that's been there since the 70s. Leave R Bar alone.

This sign has been there forever. Leave it alone! It is iconic to the neighborhood and Oxfam needs to stop overstepping.

R Bar is the only reason I go down that alley. Taking the sign down is just mean spirited.

Keep the sign up. Business is tough enough as it is without everyone coming for the local spots that actually make this place worth living in.
