I have compiled a formal proposal regarding these plush designs to submit to the corporate office this week. My next step is identifying the specific department heads who oversee product development for small animal lines.

This should happen. I literally can't find a used year of the rat build a bear anywhere, and as it is now 2020(year of the rat) it would be a perfect opportunity to bring the year of the rat build a bear back.
Build A Bear used to have both a plush mouse and a plush rat but that was back in 2007. Actually there have been many, many plush mice and rats in the claw toy machines and at carnivals over the years. <:3O~
My pet rat recently passed away and I was hoping to put some of her old blankets (washed of course) into a little rat or mouse build-a-bear as a keepsake.
Being born in the year of the rat is something I truly treasure but it's so hard to find people or even stuff animals of rats. If build a bear made one I'd probably din of happiness. There clean animals. And so very intelligent.

we need more rats in the world ! we demand for more diversity to be included in the build a bear community
