Hello, We are looking for a minimum of 500 signatures of New Yorkers who support the construction of a dog run in Astoria, New York. Currently, aside from the incredibly dilapidated dog run in the tiny, northernmost tip of Astoria, there is no open space for Astoria dogs to run off-leash within a decent walking radius (one mile or less). This means that dogs are not getting the physical stimulation and emotional socialization that is recommended for optimal health and happiness. Plus, doggie owners don't have the opportunity to meet each other in a casual, open environment! Help us reach - or exceed - our petition goal by signing our petition today! We are also in the process of a letter-writing Campaign to Community Board One as well as the City Parks Department. We are engaging local politicians as well.
