Dear Cherokee County Friends, Neighbors, Loyal Guests: In keeping with our mission to make lives simpler and more enjoyable in the markets we operate, RaceTrac is planning to open a new location at Scott Road and Georgia Highway 20, where we believe there is strong demand and support for the service, convenience and job opportunities our stores provide. You can express your support for our plans by signing the attached petition and making sure your commissioners know that you support job creation and additional tax revenue in Cherokee County. We’ll be sharing the petition along with our plans for the new store on November 1 when we go before the Cherokee County Planning Commission to request the property at Scott Road and Georgia Highway be rezoned for Convenience Store/Gasoline use. A second meeting with the County Commissioners is schedule for November 15. Make sure your voice is heard by attending one or both of the meetings or reaching out to your commissioners. Details and contact information are below. Cherokee County RaceTrac Rezoning Meetings • What: Cherokee County Planning Commission • When: 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2011 • Where: Cherokee County Administration Building, 1130 Bluffs Parkway Canton, Ga 30114 • What: Cherokee County Commission meeting • When: 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2011 • Where: Cherokee County Administration Building, 1130 Bluffs Parkway Canton, Ga 30114. • Zoning Administrator, Vickie Taylor, [email protected] • Commissioner Harry Johnston, [email protected] • Commissioner Jim Hubbard, [email protected] • Commission Chairman L.B. “Buzz” Ahrens, [email protected] • Commissioner Karen Bosch, Commissioner [email protected] • Commissioner Jason A. The massive surge in support for this petition proves that our neighbors are sick of watching corporate greed dictate the future of our roads. RaceTrac thinks they can just bulldoze their way into our community, but this momentum proves they are dead wrong.

Finally some better coffee on my way to work. Sick of having to drive to the other side of town just to fill up.

We need another station on this road. Traffic is a nightmare and you cant get gas easy when your heading home. Bring it on.

Yes please! The jobs would be great for the teens around here anyway.
