This is a petition regarding the new speed bumps that have been installed on Questor Trade Park Dartford
From a few comments we have received these are causing problems for a lot of people.
They are scraping the bottom of some vehicles due to the extreme height and, at the very least, will be causing damage to shocks, springs, exhausts and sumps.
Speed bumps are also shown to increase pollution due to the increased amount of acceleration needed.
Due to this we would like to get as many people as possible to add their name to this petition to get the speed bumps removed or at least halved in height.
Once we have at least 100 signatures we will be giving this to the owners of the site to show our annoyance at these installations.

If i go slow enough to not damage the suspension on one of my cars, I nearly pull the mud flaps off instead. My other car scraps the exhaust on them.
I would understand the speed bumps are for the pedestrians safety. If that is the case there are other means like pedestrians crossings which are much safer. And damage to the car concerns me a lot.
The bumps are too high, causing damage to our vehicles no matter how slowly you drive over them the vehicles take so much impact from them, a lot of the new bumps have the remains of the old bumps as another obstacle to negotiate, not to mention that monstrous pot hole at the entrance. What happened to the barriers being used to stop all the traffic using the estate as a cut through?!
Who do I make the invoice out to, when charging for the damage on our various vehicles, due to the height and steepness of these ridiculous bumps ? Money would be much wiser spent putting a width or weight restriction at the bottom of the site to stop LGV's using Powder Mill Lane and causing utter chaos regularly !
I constantly see people slowing down to a complete stop then just end up speeding in between the bumps to make up for lost time which makes it even more dangerous than having none at all. Also, driving over these everyday will obviously wear out vehicle components quicker and doesn't seem necessary.

I have no objection to Speed Bumps but I find these particular installations extreme and potentially damaging.
