to: sefton council We, the undersigned hereby request that the speed cushions installed/erected on Rufford Road and Bankfield Lane be removed/amended due to the fact that they are proving ineffective in lowering vehicle speed in this area and that they are causing congestion and higher that normal volume of traffic during peak hours in the surrounding areas as well as vibration and noise to homes and property in the immediate vicinity. We are extremely concerned that the recent and dramatic fall in business is due to the implementation of these speed cushions and furthermore fear a bleak future for our businesses should they remain in place. The speed cushions are only serving to stop trade passing through the area and therefore destroy local business. PETITIONERS: shop keepers of Crossens.

Ridiculous idea from the start. Crossens was fine before this mess. Take them out.

Living right on the road is a nightmare now. My windows rattle every time a lorry goes over them. Get rid of them.

So hard to get to the shops now with all the traffic backing up. It is killing business for everyone on the street.

I avoid that area now because the traffic is just too much. Feel bad for the shop owners who are losing money because of this.
