UPDATE:  Thanks for your support!  Some of the speed bumps are being removed!  This will happen 6/15.  We'll still have speed bumps, but the placement should be less annoying.  Also please remind your co-workers to drive safely in the structure or else they may bring back the speed bumps as they will be monitoring the parking structure traffic after 6/15.

We understand there is a need for speed bumps in the multi-level parking garage at 1200 GC3 to insure the parking lot is safe. We disagree with the quantity, type, and placement of speed bumps that were installed recently. The current speed bumps are creating wheel alignment, unnecessary wear and tear, on a wide range of vehicles. Vehicles with standard to low profile tires must crawl to a stop and angle due to the speed bumps high arch and extremely hard surface. The speed bumps that are placed on turns will create alignment issues with the high everyday use of an employee. This petition argues for removal or reduction in the amount of speed bumps that are in the parking garage. · One, instead of two, speed bumps on straight portions of the parking garage would suffice · Eliminate speed bumps on turns · Install speed bumps that are smoother and not as high arched, and so destructive to our vehicles. · Remove speed bumps at the “Stop” sign when leaving the parking area · Remove speed bumps after the 2nd level.

The one on the turn is literally impossible to take without hitting the curb. Good move.

Total waste of money installing those massive ones in the first place.
