The park district has an open meeting on April 16th at 6pm at the little theater to listen to comments about a proposal to allow alcohol at family reunion, softball games, and other events. If pAssed this will open the door for future sales by the park district. It will cost more police patrol and trash cleanup. It would allow drinking next to our school and children's playground equipment. Leave the alcohol in the local pubs and clubs. Most clubs in town will rent there space and bar for adult entertainment. Laws are currently in place to prevent alcohol sales near schools now. Why allow drinking.
