Tell the Lynn City Council to Vote NO Alcohol Club License for 19-21 Fayette Street.
The VFW Post 507 is requesting permission to transfer the VFW Post and All Alcohol Club License to 19-21 Fayette Street (Hell’s Angel’s Club), and to operate 12 noon – 1:00 a.m. Sunday - Saturday.
We, the undersigned residents, request the City Council to deny the transfer of the license. This is a residential area made up of families, many young children, the Olive Street Elderly Housing Apartments, the Goldfish Pond Park, churches and temples, and on the walking route to Ingalls Grammar School and the Thurgood Marshall Middle School. Currently and historically the premises of 19-21 Fayette Street have (has) never operated with a liquor license and we request that it stay that way.
The City Council Hearing is on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010

The concerns shared by neighbors regarding the proposed liquor license at the Fayette Street property have confirmed the necessity of this opposition. I am currently preparing formal remarks to present at the upcoming City Council hearing to ensure the safety of our local families remains the priority.

The momentum behind this petition reflects the genuine concern our neighborhood feels regarding the proposed alcohol license. This level of engagement confirms that our community values the safety and character of the streets surrounding our schools and homes.

This is completely wrong. You cant have a bar right next to the elementary school and the park where all our kids play. Think about the safety of this neighborhood for once.

1 AM on a school night?? Ridiculous. We already deal with enough traffic around here without adding drunk drivers into the mix.
